Why I like working at Plant & Food Research

Our research is continually trying to develop new plant varieties and advance growing techniques for the betterment of New Zealand. I enjoy any challenge which involves innovation , thinking outside the square and being part of a team of committed and very clever people.

My personal highlight working at Plant & Food Research

Being part of the team that developed 'Hort16a' and to have worked with many prominent people such as Bruce Stowell, Russell Lowe and Dr Ross Ferguson.

How my work has an impact on our industries

Within the many thousands of vines I manage there may be the next new variety so the way treat the vines is critical to the success of the industry

What I love about my job

The people I work with.
